spring mass system on plate

hello
I want to model the spring mass system on plate use Acoustic-Structure Interaction
when I model, can I draw a rectangular layer and setting it as steel
then on the rectangular top surface ,I draw a cylinder.
This cylinder I give it weight(give it the material of aluminum) to be the mass.
In addition,I choose the spring foundation and give it k
can this model useful?
spring foundation choose the area or body (cylinder)
