Dear all,
I am modelling the separation of suspended particles using ultrasonic standing waves. I am making a study with step 1 frequency domain and step 2 time-dependent solution. I have already included the frequency domain solution into the time-dependent solution. After running the simulation, the volume fraction still stays the same. It is not concentrated in anti-nodal or nodal planes of an ultrasonic standing wave field.
But If I study this on a stationary state by using the solution from the frequency domain study, the particles are being moved to the PMMA walls. The result from this study kind of showed the end result. While I am doing the time-dependent study, I am trying to see their movement, but there is no movement.
I tried to post my COMSOL simulation here but the file size is too large.
Frequency domain: 2.1 MHz
Time dependent study: range (0,0.1,20) s
